Cannes winner « The Square » comes to Brussels
European audiovisual associations invite decision makers to exclusive premiere of Ruben Östlund’s Palme D’Or winning film.
SAA partnered with EFADs, the European Coalitions for Cultural Diversity, Europa Distribution, Europa International, FERA, the LUX Prize, UNIC and UniFrance to co-host a reception ahead of the exclusive screening. European Parliament Vice President, Evelyne Gebhardt and European Commissioner Cecilia Malmström both gave speeches underlining the importance of Europe’s audiovisual sector and European diversity. Anna Serner, Chief Executive of the Swedish Film Institute, and FERA CEO, Pauline Durand Vialle addressed the gathered decision makers with the key needs of Europe’s audiovisual sector.
The film is on general release in Belgium from 22nd November.
