European Parliament Announces LUX Prize Winner and Adopts Digital Cinema Report

Les Neiges du Kilimandjaro” by Robert Guédiguian was announced as the winner of the European Parliament’s 2011 LUX Prize on 16th November. MEPs voted for their favourite of three finalists (the others being Attenberg by Athina Rachel Tsangari and Play by Ruben Östlund) at a number of screenings within the Parliament (more info on the LUX Prize here). SAA is proud to confirm that the film will be screened exclusively at Flagey in Brussels on 29th November as part of its “Audiovisual Authors Online – Seizing the Digital Revolution” Conference (more info here). Following the presentation of the award, MEPs voted on and adopted with a massive majority the “European Cinema in the Digital Era” report, drafted by Piotr Borys MEP.
