Robert Alberdingk Thijm
Robert Alberdingk Thijm is a Dutch screenwriter for TV and cinema. After graduating in Law in 1991, Alberdingk Thijm (1965) started his career writing scenarios for television: de Daltons 1999, Dunya en Desie 2003, both nominated for an International Emmy Award and Waltz 2006. The feature film Dunya and Desie was the Dutch entry for the Oscars in 2009. His serie A'dam – e.v.a won the main Dutch television award in 2011 and also the French TV Drama Festival Award for the best international TV drama. In 2012 he was awarded the Edmond Hustinx prize for his screenwriting. In 2018, Alberdingk Thijm worked, alongside other screenwriters and directors, on the film: Rotterdam, I Love You which is part of the acclaimed City of Love series (Paris, Je t’aime and New York, I Love You). The same year he wrote the scenario of the TV serie Zara en de magische kicksen. After the film De Belofte van Pisa released in 2019, Robert Alberdingk Thijm has been working on Modern Love Amsterdam as showrunner for Prime Video. He is now working on a new TV series Bestseller Boy.
