Katharina Mückstein

Katharina Mückstein is an Austrian director, screenwriter and producer. She studied Philosophy, Gender Studies and Directing at Filmakademie Wien, Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst. In 2010 Mückstein co-founded the production company La Banda Film. Her first feature film was Talea (2013) and the second one L'animale (2018), which was invited to the Berlinale. She also produced Holz Erde Fleisch (2016) and Tiere und andere Menschen (2017). In 2020 and 2022 she directed three episodes of a TV crime series: Blind Ermittelt (Blindly investigated).
