Werner Boote

Werner Boote is an Austrian screenwriter and director who worked from 1993-2002 in Amsterdam, and lives today in Vienna. Early years, Boote made music videos for artists such as Anouk and Bocelli. He was first known for his documentary Der Gladiator (2003) and has since made several documentaries, such as Plastic Planet (2009), Population Boom (2013), Morgenland im Abendland (2015), Alles unter Kontrolle (Everything’s Under Control, 2015) and Die grüne Lüge (The Green Lie, 2018).
