Jorge Paixão da Costa

Jorge Paixão da Costa is a Portuguese film director who has directed the feature films Adeus Princesa (Goodbye Princess, 1994), O Mistério da Estrada de Sintra (The Mystery of the Sintra Road, 2007), Jacinta (2017) and Soldado Milhões (Courage of One, 2018). He graduated from the University of Stockholm and holds a PhD and in Communication Sciences from Lusófona University and Nova University. Since 1997, he has been a professor at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. He directed more than twenty productions of TV series, sitcoms, films, short films, and documentaries such as Maluda (2021), O Atentado (2020), Não Sei Do Que Se Trata Mas Não Concordo (2019), República (2010), a Espia (2004) and Não és Homem Não és Nada (1996). He was also the director of the film magazine Premiere (2008-2009).
