Inés Parí­s

Inés París is a Spanish director and screenwriter. She graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with a degree in Philosophy and a PhD in Aesthetics and Art Theory. She has directed films such as “Olvido” (2023), “La noche que mi madre mató a mi padre” (2016), “Miguel y William” (2007), “Semen, una historia de amor” (2005) and “A mi madre le gustan las mujeres” (2002). These latter were selected for international festivals such as the Berlinale and Semici and received many national and international awards. She also made documentaries, including “Manzanas, pollos y quimeras”, “Ellas son Africa”, or “Igual-es”. Her work is varied and she has also created and directed series for television: “Romi” Mediaset (2024) “La Valla” (2020 A3media/ Netflix) “El grito de lasmariposas” (2021 Disney Star+) and “El Accidente” (2018 Mediaset). She has published numerous articles and contributions, and she also has lectured at prestigious universities worldwide.

She is Deputy Chair for the Audiovisual College of the SGAE and a Board member of the Women for Africa Foundation. Moreover, she was the first Chairperson for CIMA (Spanish Audiovisual Women's Association) and the first woman to chair the SGAE Foundation (Sociedad General de Autores). Her commitment to women's equality in the audiovisual media has been recognised through various honours and awards.
